Senior Cloud / DevOps Engineer

About the role

Eightcap is looking for a senior engineer who treats infrastructure as software, building and operating a high‑performance AWS estate that powers trading services and client‑facing applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and operate multi‑account AWS environments using Terraform, including modules, drift detection and plan‑and‑review processes.
• Own CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions and create boilerplates for .NET, Go and Python to enable standardized production deployments.
• Implement security best practices such as least‑privilege IAM, secrets management, network controls and CSPM tooling (e.g., Wiz), embedding policy‑as‑code into pipelines.
• Automate compliance evidence for SOC 2, ISO 27001 and the AWS Well‑Architected Framework to maintain continuous audit readiness.
• Run the CloudWatch observability stack, define SLOs, lead incident response and maintain runbooks for reliable operations.

Required profile

• Significant hands‑on experience designing, building and operating production AWS workloads, including multi‑account setups, VPC networking, IAM, EC2, Lambda, Fargate, RDS and CloudWatch.
• Expert‑level Terraform skills, including reusable modules, remote state management and live‑infrastructure refactoring without downtime.
• Strong experience with GitHub Actions for both application and infrastructure pipelines, handling credentials securely.
• Solid software engineering background in at least one language (Python, Go, TypeScript or C#) with testing, code review and release discipline.
• Demonstrated cloud security engineering experience, including least‑privilege IAM, RBAC, SSO, MFA and CSPM tools.
