Senior Claims Consultant

About the role

Marsh is seeking a Senior Claims Consultant to join its Workers Compensation self‑insurance team in Adelaide. This hybrid position requires at least three days per week in the office and offers the opportunity to manage end‑to‑end claims while supporting return‑to‑work initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver proactive claims liability review, determination and advisory services to facilitate early return to work and minimise lost‑time injuries.
• Implement early intervention and engage with return‑to‑work (RTW) services.
• Attend and contribute to South Australian Employment Tribunal matters.
• Participate in medical case conferences with GPs and specialists as required.
• Collaborate closely with the Team Leader, Claims Consultants, RTW Consultants and Risk & Safety Advisers.
• Complete innovative projects supporting the Claims and RTW function.
• Ensure compliance with the Return‑to‑Work Act 2014, related regulations and Injury Management Standards for Self‑Insurers.

Required profile

• Experience delivering claims services with a strong focus on return‑to‑work and customer service.
• Exceptional relationship‑building, communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to regional locations as needed.
• Understanding or prior experience of self‑insurance; multi‑site management experience is desirable.
