Senior Civil Engineer

About the role

A mid-sized engineering consultancy in the South East Queensland region is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer for a permanent, full-time position in Brisbane. The firm works on subdivisions, public infrastructure, master-planned communities, aged care and education facilities, and commercial and industrial developments, and offers the chance to grow into a future leader of the Brisbane office.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and review design, tender and contract documentation.
• Manage projects with commercial awareness.
• Support and mentor junior engineers.
• Lead project delivery, coordinating all relevant stakeholders and acting as a key focal point for client relationships.
• Develop business with existing partners and prospective clients.
• Contribute ideas to continuous improvement and technical excellence within the office.

Required profile

• Degree-qualified civil engineer with CPEng/RPEQ.
• At least 8 years of local consultancy experience in land development and urban infrastructure.
• Well-rounded profile with team leadership, relationship management, construction surveillance, contract administration and project delivery expertise.

Required skills

• Civil engineering design software.
• Strong understanding of local authority standards and codes.
