Senior Business Analyst - Merchant Acquiring

About the role

A contract Senior Business Analyst position based in Sydney, NSW, focused on complex process and technical changes in the merchant acquiring and card payments industry. The role works with stakeholders and change management to understand needs and the impact of system or application changes.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, organise and synthesise large amounts of information from many sources
• Work with stakeholders to understand their needs, concerns and operating environment relative to deliverable goals and outcomes
• Collaborate with stakeholders and change management to identify impacts on business processes and technology from system or application changes
• Identify project delivery issues and risks, help with mitigation strategies and escalate where necessary
• Liaise with external suppliers as required

Required profile

• At least 5 years' experience delivering complex process and technical changes as a Senior Business Analyst
• Expertise in process mapping using standardised techniques such as SIPOC
• Expertise in the merchant acquiring and card payments industry and technologies
• Excellent communication skills, able to engage stakeholders at all levels and turn high-level requirements into solution design and test requirements
• Proven track record of meeting deadlines and being results-driven

Required skills

• Large-scale customer and data migration projects
• Requirements and user stories in Confluence and JIRA
• Customer journeys, process flows and SOPs documentation
• Merchant terminals, POS, AS2805 messaging, ecommerce and payment gateways
• Data analysis and visualisation with PowerPivot, Tableau and Power BI
• Pega technical specifications and APIs
• BABOK knowledge areas and Agile; familiarity with GDF, SDLC and Pace frameworks
