Senior Auditor – Group Internal Audit

About the role

Join the Group Internal Audit team as a Senior Auditor and help strengthen risk management across a complex financial services organisation. You will lead risk‑based audits, work with senior stakeholders and use data analytics and AI to improve audit outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, lead and deliver high‑quality risk‑based audits on schedule and to quality standards.
• Prepare clear audit reports with actionable recommendations and verify issue closure.
• Build strong relationships with business leaders to understand strategic objectives and emerging risks.
• Leverage data analytics and emerging AI capabilities to enhance audit coverage, efficiency and insights.
• Support the development of AI governance auditing approaches and contribute to continuous improvement of audit methodologies.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Business, Commerce, Law or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in Internal Audit, External Audit, Risk Assurance or Compliance within a complex financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of Australian financial services regulations (ASIC, APRA).
• Demonstrated ability to identify and assess business risks and controls.
• Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.

Required skills

• Data‑analytics tools such as Alteryx or Power BI.
• Experience with generative or agentic AI to enhance audit approaches.
