Senior Auditor – Cairns or Townsville

About the role

BDO Australia is seeking proactive Senior Auditors to join its Cairns and Townsville teams. In this role you will work closely with Partners and Managers to deliver high‑quality audit services for a diverse client base while supporting the development of the audit team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage key components of audit engagements from planning to completion.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Contribute to the quality, efficiency and continuous improvement of audit processes.
• Apply professional judgement and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
• Support the development of a high‑performing audit team.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Business/Commerce (Accounting) or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience in a similar audit role.
• Self‑starter with a detail‑oriented approach and ability to manage own workflow.
• Professional presentation, confidentiality and discretion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
