Senior Associate - Private Business Tax

About the role

PwC Australia is recruiting a Senior Associate in Private Business Tax. You will help privately owned businesses navigate complex tax environments through customised tax advisory and compliance services, supporting clients from family enterprises and partnerships to privately held companies.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with a portfolio of private business clients, understanding their tax needs and providing tailored advice.
• Prepare and review tax returns so clients meet their obligations accurately and in line with current regulations.
• Advise on tax-efficient strategies, including succession planning, mergers and acquisitions and reorganisation.
• Keep up to date with tax laws and regulations and research thoroughly to guide clients.
• Mentor and support junior staff and foster a collaborative, high-performance team.
• Identify tax risks and develop mitigation strategies, and update clients on legislative changes.
• Provide tax compliance, planning and advisory services for large client groups including trusts, companies, partnerships and individuals.
• Support acquisitions with tax due diligence, review of tax sections of purchase agreements, tax consolidation calculations and stub period tax returns.
• Drive client growth, identify new business opportunities, work with audit and advisory colleagues, and improve tax processes.
