Senior Associate, Partner Tax

About the role

Grant Thornton Australia is hiring a Senior Associate, Partner Tax for its Private Enterprise team. You will prepare tax returns for the firm's Partners and investment entities, with a focus on tax compliance and tax planning. The role suits someone who wants to combine business services experience with tax work, and offers full- or part-time hours and hybrid working across Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with the firm's Partners to meet their accounting and tax compliance requirements, including timely preparation of financial statements and income tax returns
• Prepare tax returns for Partners and investment entities
• Assist with accounting, tax advisory and tax planning matters
• Build strong relationships with Partners and other stakeholders while observing discretion and confidentiality
• Stay up to date on changes in tax legislation that may affect the firm's Partners

Required profile

• Qualification or professional accreditation in Business, Commerce, Accounting or Finance, or another relevant professional or overseas qualification
• CA / CPA qualified, studying or planning to enrol
• Significant professional experience in business and tax advisory within a chartered accounting setting
• Interest in working with professionals and investment entities

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Highly organised, able to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
