Senior Associate, Markets Non-Financial Risk (Australia, Pacific & PNG)

About the role

This permanent full‑time position is responsible for driving the management of non‑financial risk across ANZ's Markets business in Australia, the Pacific and PNG. The role works closely with the broader Markets Non‑Financial Risk team to ensure risks and controls are identified, managed and transparently reported, supporting effective decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Drive management of non‑financial risk across Markets Australia, Pacific and PNG in line with enterprise risk standards and regulatory obligations.
• Design and implement divisional governance artefacts such as attestations, aggregated risk profiles, risk reviews and issue tracking.
• Support thematic reviews and internal audits conducted by second and third lines of defence.
• Provide data‑driven insights on end‑to‑end customer journeys to inform decision‑making and governance.
• Oversee escalations and ensure timely resolution of key risk or governance issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in non‑financial risk management within a banking or financial services environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable risk insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to partner with front‑office teams.
• Ability to work across multiple locations (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane) and collaborate with regional teams.
