Senior Associate - Construction & Infrastructure Law

About the role

HWL Ebsworth is looking for an experienced construction lawyer to join its Construction & Infrastructure practice in Brisbane. You will be part of a sub-team of 16 lawyers covering front-end and back-end construction, acting for prominent clients on diverse projects. You will work closely with Partners Colin Harris and Paul Gordon, gaining hands-on experience across disputes and project advisory work.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and organise evidence and apply your knowledge of construction law to real-world matters
• Take part in client meetings and day-to-day matter management
• Build client-facing skills and contribute to the team's established workflow
• Gradually take on more autonomy and client responsibility

Required profile

• Ideally at least 5 years post admission within construction law
• Demonstrated ability to build client relationships, lead matters and mentor junior team members
• Full working rights in Australia and a valid practising certificate

• Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
