Senior Analyst – Operational Risk, Cyber and Technology Risk

About the role

Macquarie is recruiting a Senior Analyst for its Second Line Operational Risk team in Sydney. The role plays a key part in the independent oversight, review and challenge of the group's enterprise-wide Cyber and Technology Risk posture, helping to change the Non-Financial Risk Management culture. It is a permanent, full-time, mid-level position.

Key responsibilities

• Provide oversight of risks associated with the management and governance of Cyber and Technology across Macquarie
• Review and challenge Line 1's management of Cyber and Technology risks, ensuring key controls are designed effectively and operate as intended
• Analyse monitoring data on risks and incidents to deliver insights to senior management and identify opportunities for improvement
• Perform assurance activities and support the delivery and execution of cyber and technology risk management frameworks
• Help provide training and awareness on cyber and technology risk management policies

Required profile

• Proven experience in Cyber and Technology Risk Management, Cybersecurity Governance or a related cyber and technology role
• Experience in a risk management (Line 1 or 2), assurance or audit function, preferably in financial or professional services
• Strong grasp of operational risk management principles applied to cyber and technology
• Risk management experience in other non-financial domains (e.g. supplier, data, resilience) is a bonus

Required skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, able to interpret data and identify key risks
• Ability to form an independent view and challenge stakeholders on their risk management
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence across levels and build internal networks
