Senior Analyst External Audit – Financial Services

About the role

This senior position leads external audit engagements for Deloitte's Financial Services group in Sydney. You will mentor junior staff, ensure audit quality, and stay current with regulatory changes while contributing to innovative service offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Act as senior in charge on external audit engagements for wealth management, superannuation, insurance, and banking clients.
• Maintain audit quality by keeping up‑to‑date with regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Participate in the development of new audit offerings and digital solutions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members throughout the audit lifecycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of external audit experience, preferably within financial services (insurance exposure preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, commerce, or a related field.
• CA qualification (or equivalent) or close to completion.
• Professional services experience at a Big 4 or mid‑tier firm is desirable.
