Senior Analyst / Assistant Manager - M&A

About the role

McGrathNicol's Deals team advises corporate, private equity and banking clients on M&A transactions. It is looking for a Senior Analyst or Assistant Manager to join its Perth M&A team, supporting private and public companies through complex transactions. The position is full time and permanent, with applications closing on 31 December 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Support M&A transactions across the full lifecycle, including marketing materials, financial analysis, buyer/investor engagement, due diligence and transaction execution.
• Carry out financial, commercial and strategic analysis, including business performance assessment, industry and market research and key value driver analysis.
• Prepare financial models and valuation analyses for acquisition targets, business opportunities and strategic alternatives.
• Help prepare client deliverables such as information memoranda, management presentations, financial models and board papers.
• Work with clients, senior team members and external advisers to deliver workstreams on time.

Required profile

• 2-5 years' experience in Corporate Finance, M&A, Transaction Services, Valuations, Corporate Development, Investment Banking or a related field.
• CA, CFA or equivalent qualification strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, sound commercial judgement and good written and verbal communication.
