Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on, client‑focused Senior Accountant to join our collaborative team in Southport. You will deliver high‑quality accounting and tax compliance work while building strong client relationships and developing your technical capability.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and SMSFs.
• Manage BAS, IAS and ATO compliance obligations across your client portfolio.
• Support and mentor junior accountants within the team.
• Collaborate with clients to resolve queries and assist with tax planning activities.
• Manage your own workflow and deadlines within a structured team environment.

Required profile

• Relevant Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• CA or CPA qualification (or near completion).
• 3‑5 years’ experience in public practice with a Business Services focus.
• Solid understanding of Australian tax across a range of entity types.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks.
