Accountant / Senior Accountant – Public Practice

About the role

Are you an experienced Accountant or Senior Accountant in public practice, ready for your next step? Join our Gold Coast team and enjoy exposure to varied and complex client portfolios, supporting SME businesses with all things accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax compliance work including BAS, financial statements, reconciliations and tax returns for companies, partnerships, trusts and individuals.
• Prepare cash flows and monthly management reports for clients.
• Contribute to strategic business advice and commercial advisory projects alongside experienced Partners.
• Work closely with Managers and Partners to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
• Support and mentor junior team members (Senior Accountant level).

Required profile

• Public practice experience with a developing ability to lead and support others.
• Achieved or working towards CA or CPA qualification.
• Strong commercial acumen with sound technical accounting and analytical skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Fantastic people skills, an outgoing personality, and a genuine passion for accounting and business advisory.

Required skills

• Strong cloud accounting product knowledge (e.g., Xero, MYOB, Excel).
