Senior Accountant

About the role

APM is seeking a Senior Accountant to act as a trusted finance partner across its ANZ operations. You will provide commercial insights, accurate financial reporting, and support strategic decision‑making for a portfolio of business units.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review month‑end journals, reconciliations and management reports.
• Provide financial analysis, insights and recommendations to improve business performance.
• Partner with business leaders as the primary finance contact for your portfolio.
• Investigate financial issues, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend solutions.
• Support system improvements, finance transformation initiatives and business acquisitions.
• Assist with audit requirements and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with the Group Tax team on payroll tax, GST, FBT and income tax reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement, strengthen controls and enhance finance processes.
• Mentor and support junior finance team members.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent experience).
• 6+ years of accounting experience, ideally with corporate and public practice exposure.
• Strong financial reporting, analysis and forecasting capabilities.
• Proven ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and influence outcomes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and thrive in a changing environment.
