Senior Accountant

About the role

BG Private is seeking a client‑focused Senior Accountant to join its Melbourne/Sydney team. You will work alongside experienced partners and contribute to delivering high‑quality accounting services for a diverse portfolio of over 7,000 clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns for companies, trusts, individuals and sole traders
• Complete FBT returns and BAS/IAS submissions
• Develop cash‑flow and budget forecasts
• Manage DIV 7A compliance and related reporting
• Prepare annual financial statements for tax planning
• Perform reconciliation journals and budgeting tasks
• Produce work papers and journal entries

Required profile

• Tertiary degree in accounting or related field
• CA or CPA qualification
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Proven team and time‑management abilities
• Strong attention to detail
• Public practice experience is essential
