Senior Accountant

About the role

Armor Australia is a leading designer and manufacturer of ballistic protection systems. The finance team is expanding and is looking for a Senior Accountant to own day‑to‑day finance functions. This hands‑on position will manage core accounting activities and support the company’s growth in domestic and export markets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable sub‑ledgers.
• Prepare and lodge ATO requirements including BAS, IAS, FBT and income tax.
• Prepare standing journals for pre‑payments and accruals.
• Perform general ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Oversee fixed‑asset management, calculate tax depreciation and capital allowances.
• Administer superannuation, workers compensation and payroll tax.
• Maintain intercompany loan accounts.
• Support the preparation of sales quotations and customer invoices.
• Undertake ad‑hoc tasks and special projects as required.
• Ensure all duties comply with company policies, processes and procedures.

Required profile

• Degree qualified with a minimum of three years’ accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards and Australian Tax Office compliance.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational and time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Pronto (desirable).
