Security Vetting Officer (APS5/APS6) - NV1

About the role

ACM Healthcare is recruiting on behalf of a Federal Government Department for two APS5 and APS6 Security Vetting Officers (NV1) to work in the Security Clearances and Maintenance division. The role covers security clearance vetting up to NV2 level, is full-time and initially 12 months, with availability within the Canberra, Barton office.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake security vetting in line with the Protective Security Policy Framework and department standard operating procedures, using a case management system and other tools as needed.
• Give sound advice on clearance outcomes and be open to feedback.
• Assess and manage complex assessment work and prepare documentation to a high standard.
• Manage a caseload, including with established service providers, meeting quality assurance standards.
• Work to tight deadlines, managing shifting priorities and a high tempo of work.
• Carry out other administrative support or security functions, such as inbox management and assessing change of circumstance forms.

Required profile

• Cert IV in Government (Personnel Security Vetting).
• Minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance.
• Australian citizenship at the time of commencement, as the role is within a Federal Government department.

What we offer

• APS5: $61.18 - $63.76 per hour plus superannuation.
• APS6: $67.24 - $76.36 per hour plus superannuation.
