Security Supervisor / Team Leader - Kensington

About the role

ACESGroup is seeking an experienced and professional Security Team Leader for a high-profile university campus in Kensington/Randwick. The role is hands-on leadership: supervising and supporting a team of Security Officers, coordinating daily security operations and keeping the campus safe and welcoming for students, staff, visitors and the wider community.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and support a small to medium-sized team of Security Officers
• Coordinate daily security operations, staff briefings and shift activities
• Respond to and manage incidents, alarms and emergencies
• Conduct foot patrols to maintain a visible security presence across the campus
• Act as key point of contact for clients, students, staff and visitors
• Monitor CCTV and use security systems to support site operations
• Manage access control and maintain site security procedures
• Identify safety risks and ensure compliance with WHS requirements
• Prepare incident reports, security records and operational updates
• Support team performance and improve service delivery

Required profile

• Current NSW Security Licence (Class 1A) with at least 3 years' security experience or equivalent
• Previous experience supervising or leading a security team
• Ability to work a 24/7 rotating roster across 7 days
• Unrestricted NSW driver licence
• First Aid and CPR certification, RSA competency card (or willingness to obtain), Working with Children Check, White Card, Fire Warden and Mental Health First Aid (or willingness to obtain)

Required skills

• Demonstrated CCTV operational experience and confidence using security technology
• Strong leadership, decision-making and communication skills
• Excellent customer service and stakeholder engagement
