Security Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a curious and proactive Security Analyst to join our IT Security and Governance team in Sydney on a permanent, full‑time basis. Reporting to the Information Security Officer, you will support day‑to‑day operations and continuous improvement of security controls across incident response, vulnerability management, data protection, identity and access security, and security monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate security alerts, incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Support remediation activities and security improvements across the business.
• Assist with data protection, insider risk and security investigations, documenting findings and handling evidence.
• Manage identity, endpoint and cloud security controls.
• Handle security requests through Jira Service Management and contribute to audits, control testing and supplier security assessments.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years’ experience in cybersecurity, IT operations or a related technical role.
• Working knowledge of security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, identity security, endpoint protection and cloud security.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills with a proactive mindset.

Required skills

• Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID, Intune, Purview and Defender for Cloud.
• Jira Service Management.
• PowerShell, KQL or other scripting tools.
