Secondary Teacher – Technologies, ITD & ICT

About the role

Good Samaritan Catholic College on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a passionate Secondary Teacher to deliver Technologies, Information Technology and Design (ITD) and ICT across Years 7‑12 starting January 2027. The role supports the college’s Catholic values and aims to inspire students in digital and engineering disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Create a learner‑centred, supportive classroom environment aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
• Design, deliver and evaluate curriculum programs in Technologies, ITD, ICT, robotics and engineering.
• Assess and report student progress to students, parents and the community.
• Collaborate with the leadership team and staff to foster a positive school culture.
• Engage in professional learning to improve student outcomes.
• Provide pastoral care and support students’ spiritual and moral development.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
• Commitment to Catholic education values (non‑Catholic candidates welcome).
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students and families.

Required skills

• Expertise in ICT teaching.
• Experience with robotics and engineering concepts.
• Knowledge of Information Technology and Design (ITD) curriculum.
