School Community Partnership Officer

About the role

Make a meaningful difference at Vincent State School as a School Community Partnership Officer. Build strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, support community‑led decision‑making and strengthen partnerships between schools, families and local organisations to improve educational outcomes for students.

Key responsibilities

• Work alongside school communities to establish, deliver and review initiatives that strengthen Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community involvement in educational decision‑making.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement and community‑led co‑design to address local needs, build partnerships and foster collaboration with government representatives and local peak bodies.
• Support school leaders and community groups by providing guidance on meaningful participation in education and access to relevant information, resources and services.
• Provide advice on school and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community matters, effective consultation approaches and locally informed decision‑making.
• Work collaboratively with relevant agencies to address community issues affecting schools, connect schools and families with appropriate support services, and participate in professional networking and development.
