School-Based Traineeship - Plumbing, Lane Cove

About the role

The Reece Group, which supplies plumbing and bathroom products to plumbers and retail customers, is offering a School-Based Traineeship at its Plumbing Lane Cove branch. Partnered with Murray Mallee Training Company Ltd, the program is aimed at Year 10 students who will work towards a Certificate II in Supply Chain Operations. It combines work at the branch with certificate requirements such as workbooks, on-the-job training and assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Follow Reece's values, policies and procedures
• Provide customer service and communicate with customers and staff
• Complete all requirements of the certificate, including workbooks, on-the-job training and assessments
• Process sales and manage stock
• Answer the phone to take messages and orders
• Build product knowledge and follow up with customers
• Help keep the branch at a high standard

Required profile

• Year 10 student
• Good written and verbal communication
• Ability to follow instructions
• Enthusiasm, a great attitude and willingness to try new things
• Team player who keeps a neat and tidy workplace and presents themselves well
• Saturday availability; about 1.5 days per week, with extra hours during school holidays recommended
