Sales Representative - School Uniforms & Knitwear

About the role

A leading supplier of school uniforms and knitwear, established in 1969, is recruiting a Sales Representative to take over an existing customer base and grow it further. The position is based at the head office in Eagle Farm, Brisbane, and covers customers in the Northside of Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and areas north to Cairns. The salary is quoted as $75,000 to $85,000 per year plus super and incentives, negotiable based on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Arrange samples and quotes for customers.
• Connect with current and potential customers by phone, email and in person.
• Manage and grow an existing customer base across the Northside of Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and areas north to Cairns.
• Visit customers in the field, including 3 to 4 day trips to the Hervey Bay area and flights to Cairns and Mackay a couple of times a year.

Required profile

• Prior business-to-business sales experience (essential).
• Experience with clothing, especially custom-made clothing (advantageous).
• Exceptional attention to detail and good time management.
• A strong customer focus, with the drive to exceed expectations.
• Ability to communicate with people at all levels and work as part of a high-performing team.
• A well-presented appearance and a genuine desire to grow sales skills.

Required skills

• Intermediate or higher computer skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
