Sales Representative - Construction Equipment

About the role

Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) is looking for a Sales Representative based at its Cavan branch in Adelaide, South Australia. The role focuses on promoting the Hitachi Construction Equipment range across parts of Metro Adelaide and Regional South Australia, and reports to the SA Sales Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Manage relationships with an existing network of customers within the territory
• Actively seek new sales opportunities, including daily cold calling and prospecting for new business
• Carry out general marketing, trade shows and related networking activities
• Report accurately on current and prospective activity, growth potential, market and competitor analysis
• Maintain the CRM system to reflect activities in the region
• Meet market share expectations and other KPIs set by management

Required profile

• Sales experience in the construction or earthmoving equipment industry or similar is preferred but not essential
• Strong desire to deliver total customer satisfaction and build positive customer relationships
• Motivated drive to meet and exceed sales targets
• Strategic and analytical ability, including proficiency in CRM
• Confident, courteous and professional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
• Regular travel within the region and a current driver's licence
