Sales Consultant – Furniture Retail

About the role

Plush is looking for an enthusiastic Sales Consultant to join its Townsville showroom. You will use product knowledge and relationship‑building skills to help customers find the perfect sofa while driving your own earnings through performance‑based commissions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a premium customer experience that positions Plush as the top choice for sofas.
• Achieve and exceed daily and weekly sales targets using proven sales techniques.
• Process sales orders accurately and promptly to keep transactions moving.
• Promote room‑solution packages and add‑on items to increase average transaction value.
• Collaborate with the Showroom Manager on visual merchandising and pricing to optimise the sales floor.

Required profile

• Previous sales experience, preferably in furniture or other high‑value categories such as automotive, jewellery, luxury goods or travel.
• Energetic, positive attitude and ability to stay motivated during peak periods.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to build trust with customers and colleagues.
• Openness to feedback and a passion for continuous improvement.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities to maintain sales flow.
