Sales Associate / Fitter - Luxury Tailoring Showroom

About the role

A luxury tailoring showroom in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, specialising in made-to-measure garments for men and women, is recruiting a Sales Associate / Fitter. The business values craftsmanship, personalised service and long-term client relationships, and wants someone who combines a passion for style with a strong commercial drive. You do not need to be an expert tailor from day one; fitting experience and a willingness to learn the craft are enough.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the customer journey from initial consultation to final fitting, delivering a premium, personalised experience and tailored style advice.
• Take measurements and conduct garment fittings, with technical training provided.
• Nurture existing clients to encourage repeat business, referrals and loyalty.
• Generate new business through networking, referrals, corporate connections and events.
• Build your own client portfolio and take ownership of sales opportunities.
• Use the CRM system to manage client relationships and track sales opportunities.

Required profile

• Proactive, commercially minded salesperson with a strong "hunter" mentality.
• Confident networking, building relationships and asking for referrals.
• Excellent presentation and a genuine passion for fashion and style.
• Willingness to learn the craft of tailoring and develop technical skills.

Required skills

• Basic garment fitting skills such as pinning and measuring; made-to-measure experience is a bonus.
• Confidence using CRM systems and managing client relationships.
