About the role
A national builder is looking for an experienced WHS/Safety Officer to join its Townsville team, advertised by Randstad. The role covers routine site safety checks, record keeping and supporting the project managers with HSE reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct routine audits, safety inspections, monitoring and analysis of site and work activities
- Prepare and maintain reports and documentation as outlined in the Project Safety Management Plan
- Maintain project health and safety records in an accessible way for the duration of the project
- Keep HSE documentation up to date, including registers, inductions, plant registrations, the safety plan and Safe Work Method Statement reviews
- Assist the HSE Systems Manager, Project Manager or Senior Project Manager in preparing monthly Project Review Reports
- Act as a role model for best practice
Required profile
- Cert IV WHS (or equivalent) as a minimum
- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
- 2-5 years of construction build industry experience
- Experience delivering projects through HSE delivery and administration
