Roll Forming / Steel Fabricator

About the role

Ortech Industries, an Australian-owned company established in 1985 that manufactures Durra panel, Durra steel sections and Durra panelised building systems in Bendigo, Victoria, is hiring a full-time Roll Forming / Steel Fabrication Operator. The position is based at the manufacturing plant in Bendigo, Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm, with overtime required at various times, and pays above award rates.

Key responsibilities

• Work as an experienced roll former and steel fabricator with welding experience.
• Carry out structural steel welding and fabrication.
• Read and interpret drawings and designs.
• Maintain a high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Work autonomously and in a team.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience.
• Trade qualification (not essential but highly regarded).
• Physically fit and able to work a variety of roles.
• Quality-driven with excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Full driver's licence; forklift licence preferable.
