Roads Team Lead

About the role

Lead a high‑performing team of road engineers delivering transport infrastructure across Western Australia. Combine technical expertise with people leadership to shape complex road projects and mentor engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of road engineers and designers.
• Deliver road design packages from concept through detailed design and construction support.
• Provide technical oversight across transport projects and ensure compliance with Main Roads WA, Austroads and Australian Standards.
• Support design reviews, technical assurance, Safety in Design processes and manage multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 12+ years experience in roads engineering design, including Main Roads WA projects.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop engineering teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and commercial awareness.
• Chartered Engineer status (or progress towards chartership) is highly regarded.
