Road Train Driver (HR/HC) – Immediate Start

About the role

A quarry products and construction materials supplier is looking for an experienced HR or HC truck driver to transport blue metal, sand and other quarry products from the quarry to concrete batch plants. The position is casual, based in Perth, with immediate start available. The roster runs Monday to Saturday, with Monday to Friday shifts from 4:30am to 4:30pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break) and 1014-hour days, and Saturday shifts at reduced hours.

Key responsibilities

• Operate an HR or HC truck to deliver quarry products safely and on time
• Complete daily pre-start inspections and vehicle safety checks
• Load and unload materials according to site procedures and secure all loads
• Maintain compliance with fatigue management, road transport and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements
• Communicate with dispatch, batch plant operators and quarry personnel
• Complete delivery dockets and other transport documentation, report vehicle faults and keep the vehicle clean

Required profile

• Current HR or HC truck licence (essential)
• Previous experience driving HR or HC vehicles commercially
• Completed Lone Fatigue Driver Course (mandatory)
• Reliable, punctual and able to commit to early morning starts and 1014-hour days

Required skills

• Strong understanding of fatigue management, road transport and CoR requirements
• Ability to safely load, secure and transport quarry products
• Good communication with quarry and batch plant staff
