Retail Shift Supervisor - Seafood Market

About the role

Mooloolah River Fisheries, part of Superior Food Services, is a fully integrated seafood business with a retail seafood market, restaurant, marina, cold storage and wholesale facilities. It is seeking a Retail Shift Supervisor to be based in Mooloolaba, reporting to the Retail Operations Manager. The role manages a small team to ensure premium customer standards are met and suits someone moving from a hospitality or senior chef position into a supervisory role.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in rosters: create and manage staff schedules so shifts are adequately covered
• Supervise and support retail and delivery staff, fostering a positive work environment
• Analyse demand and prepare forecasts for the next day's production and preparation needs
• Attend weekly production meetings to align on priorities, address challenges and improve processes

Required profile

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in retail, hospitality food service or a similar fast-paced role
• Prior experience in seafood or food service preferred
• Previous experience as a Supervisor, Team Leader or Senior Storeman is an advantage
• Available nights and weekends is essential
• Successful National Police Check required

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of foodservice, stock rotation and HACCP controls
• Understanding of OH&S regulations and HACCP requirements
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with attention to detail
