About the role

Optus is looking for a friendly, customer‑focused Retail Service Consultant to join its Hobart store on a part‑time basis. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, helping them navigate a wide range of telecom products and services while delivering a positive experience.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the face of Optus, providing welcoming and knowledgeable service to every customer.
• Develop strong product knowledge across mobile, broadband and digital solutions and explain them in simple terms.
• Listen to customer needs, recommend personalised solutions and handle enquiries from routine questions to complex issues.
• Maintain a clean, organised store environment and support teammates during busy periods.
• De‑escalate challenging situations with empathy and clear communication.
