Retail Products Assurance Manager (12‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

The Retail Products Assurance Manager provides independent first‑line assurance across ANZ’s Retail Products Portfolio, which includes credit cards, personal loans, deposits, payments, insurance and superannuation. This 12‑month fixed‑term position supports governance reporting, risk management and customer outcome improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Produce data‑driven insights for risk governance reporting through targeted analysis and thematic assessments.
• Prepare high‑quality assurance reports, management summaries and executive insights.
• Assess the design and effectiveness of controls, identify gaps, emerging risks and improvement opportunities.
• Monitor remediation actions and ensure issues are resolved within agreed timeframes.
• Provide independent challenge to risk management practices and control environments.
• Support uplift activities that strengthen operational resilience, compliance and customer outcomes.
• Build trusted relationships with risk, compliance and assurance stakeholders.
• Partner with Retail Products Portfolio Governance to review and challenge activities against policy and framework requirements.

Required profile

• Proficiency in risk forum reporting and navigation of risk assurance processes.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Experience working in a banking or financial services environment, preferably within retail products.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders.
