Retail Pharmacist – Full-time in Ashmore

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time, AHPRA‑registered Retail Pharmacist to join a leading pharmacy chain in Ashmore, Queensland. You will deliver high‑quality pharmacy services, support patient health, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medicines and provide patient counselling in line with Pharmacy Board and National Health Act regulations.
• Collaborate with GPs, allied health professionals and the community to deliver patient‑centred care.
• Perform medication reviews, dose administration aids, opioid substitution therapy and disease‑management services.
• Document clinical interventions using GuildCare software and prepare PBS/Medicare claims.
• Manage stock: check expiries, rotate inventory, monitor fridge temperatures and oversee ordering.
• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians, interns and sales assistants, ensuring safe supply of Pharmacy‑Only and non‑prescription medicines.
• Maintain accurate records for controlled substances and ensure compliance with the Pharmacy Practice Act, OH&S and QCPP standards.

Required profile

• Completed Bachelor of Pharmacy.
• Current general registration with AHPRA.
• Minimum 12 months experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
