Retail Operations Assistant Manager

About the role

Reporting to the Retail Operations Manager, ANZ, this role supports the day-to-day operations of retail stores across Australia and New Zealand. Working closely with Store Managers, cross-functional teams and external vendors, you help ensure stores operate efficiently, safely and in line with brand standards. It suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and balances operational priorities, project coordination and stakeholder management.

Key responsibilities

• Retail operations: support operational initiatives across the ANZ store network, partner with Store Managers on consistency and best practice, coordinate operational processes and policies, identify efficiency improvements, and assist with store openings, refurbishments and relocations.
• Vendor and facilities management: act as main contact for maintenance providers, landlords and contractors, coordinate repairs and maintenance requests, manage service requests, monitor vendor performance, support invoice processing and budget tracking.
• Store support: give day-to-day operational guidance to store teams, partner with Retail, HR, Finance, IT, Visual Merchandising and Loss Prevention, and support supply, equipment and uniform coordination.
• Reporting and projects: maintain trackers, dashboards and project timelines, analyse operational data, coordinate retail projects and support budget management and cost control.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in retail operations, facilities coordination, store support or a similar retail environment.
• Experience managing relationships with vendors, contractors and service providers.
• Strong organisational skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management, and a proactive problem-solving approach.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience supporting multi-site retail operations is highly regarded.
