Restaurant Supervisor - LAYAL

About the role

Crown Melbourne is looking for an energetic, hands-on Restaurant Supervisor to lead from the floor at LAYAL, its newest Middle Eastern-inspired restaurant and bar. The role supports a high-performing team, drives guest experiences and keeps day-to-day operations running smoothly. It is a full-time position requiring availability for late nights, weekends and public holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Drive service standards and ensure smooth day-to-day venue operations.
• Coach, develop team members and give ongoing feedback.
• Assist with training, onboarding and team development.
• Support labour management, productivity and operational performance.
• Build strong relationships with guests and key stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with responsible service, regulatory and Crown requirements.
• Foster a positive, collaborative team culture.

Required profile

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a restaurant or premium hospitality environment.
• Appreciation of Middle Eastern culture, hospitality traditions and guest expectations (highly regarded).
• Ability to speak Arabic or another relevant Middle Eastern language is desirable.
• Comfort working in an environment where shisha smoking is permitted.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
