About the role

Minor Hotels’ Oaks Mackay Rivermarque Hotel is seeking an enthusiastic, service‑driven Restaurant Manager to lead the restaurant and bar operations on a full‑time basis. The role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences while developing a high‑performing Food & Beverage team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the restaurant and bar, ensuring smooth, efficient, and professional service.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team during service periods to maintain quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
• Supervise, coach, and train Food & Beverage Attendants, fostering a high‑performing team.
• Manage staff rostering, workflow, and service standards to ensure operational efficiency.
• Monitor compliance with RSA, hygiene, and workplace health & safety standards.
• Assist with stock control, ordering, and reporting as required.

Required profile

• 12+ months supervisory or managerial experience in a similar role.
• 3+ years experience working in a restaurant or hotel environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong customer service orientation.
• High level of self‑motivation, confidence, and leadership capability.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
