Responsible Manager – Australian Financial Services Licence

About the role

Transak is seeking an Australia‑based Responsible Manager to lead the Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) application and oversee the ongoing regulatory framework for its on/off‑ramp business. This senior position is pivotal for expanding Transak’s digital‑asset payment solutions across Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the proposed Responsible Manager for the AFSL application, preparing ASIC FS01, A5/B5 business description proofs, competence statements and related documentation.
• Collaborate with local counsel to finalise the RM competence pack and respond to ASIC queries during the review process.
• Conduct token‑by‑token reviews to determine which assets fall under Australian financial product regulations and maintain a token perimeter register.
• Develop remediation plans for products outside the regulatory relief or AFSL coverage.
• Provide credible local regulatory oversight, support board and director governance, and manage relationships with ASIC and other authorities.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in Australian financial services licensing and regulatory compliance.
• Strong commercial awareness of digital‑asset, payments and stablecoin ecosystems.
• Ability to produce rigorous documentation and maintain regulator credibility.
• Independent, detail‑oriented and capable of handling licensing‑critical responsibilities.
