Remote Mobile Engineer – Up to $85/hr

About the role

Mercor is seeking a Remote Mobile Engineer to work on cutting‑edge AI‑assisted development projects. You will evaluate and improve model‑generated iOS code, ensuring high quality and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Use frontier AI coding agents to complete and assess complex engineering tasks.
• Review model‑generated mobile application code for correctness, maintainability, and performance.
• Identify bugs, edge cases, and failure modes in AI‑produced outputs.
• Compare outputs from multiple AI models and evaluate their strengths and weaknesses.
• Apply professional engineering judgment to realistic mobile scenarios.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional iOS engineering experience.
• Experience building and maintaining production iOS applications with Swift and modern iOS frameworks.
• Regular use of AI coding agents such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, or similar tools.
• Ability to evaluate model‑generated mobile implementations and architectural decisions.
• Preferred: Proven track record of shipping production mobile applications.

What we offer

• Compensation up to $85 per hour.
• $400 per accepted task (typical tasks take 2–3 hours after ramp‑up).
