Religious Education Consultant – Broome

About the role

The Religious Education Consultant will support Catholic school leaders, educators and communities across the Kimberley, strengthening faith formation, religious education and mission leadership. This fixed‑term role is based in the Broome Regional Office and runs from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2028.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and support to Catholic schools on religious education, faith formation and mission leadership.
• Design and facilitate accreditation, faith‑formation and professional learning opportunities for staff and leaders.
• Partner with diocesan stakeholders, First Nations communities and CEWA teams to enhance Catholic identity and evangelising mission.
• Support schools in implementing the mandated Religious Education curriculum in culturally responsive ways.

Required profile

• Passionate Catholic educator with recent experience of the Western Australian Catholic Religious Education curriculum.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with school leaders, First Nations communities and diocesan partners.
• Personal witness to the Catholic faith and ability to communicate Catholic teaching faithfully.

Required skills

• Accreditation for Leadership and ability to present CEWA accreditation requirements.
• Strong presentation and adult‑learning facilitation skills.
• Excellent knowledge of tools and resources that engage adult learners interactively.
