Relationship Manager – Business & Private Bank (12‑month FTC)

About the role

The role manages and grows a portfolio of diversified wholesale customers, primarily in the agriculture sector, while also covering regional commercial businesses. It is a 12‑month fixed‑term position based in Naracoorte or Mount Barker, South Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Act in the best interest of customers with a customer‑centric approach.
• Develop deep understanding of customers' business and financial needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with product partners and internal stakeholders to design, structure and execute deals.
• Build and maintain external networks to generate new business and referrals.
• Manage credit risk, exercise relationship credit approval discretion and ensure compliance.
• Coach and develop an Assistant Manager direct report.

Required profile

• Proven ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Domain expertise in agriculture and commercial sectors.
• Experience assessing and managing credit risk and structuring credit solutions.
• Strong commercial acumen, critical thinking and business development skills.
• Ability to manage a portfolio, prioritize work and operate within regulatory frameworks.
