Rehabilitation Consultant – Return to Work Specialist

About the role

Interact, part of the Generation Health and APM groups, provides allied health and injury management services across New South Wales. The Rehabilitation Consultant will develop return‑to‑work solutions for injured workers, combining physical and psychological support to help them regain employment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and nurture relationships with employers seeking return‑to‑work support.
• Case‑manage injured workers needing physical and/or psychological rehabilitation.
• Conduct functional capacity, ergonomic and activities‑of‑daily‑living assessments.
• Collaborate with employees, employers, medical specialists and allied health professionals to design and monitor rehabilitation plans.
• Work within multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care from rehab to healing.

Required profile

• Current unrestricted (or eligible) registration with AHPRA or ASORC.
• Experience in occupational rehabilitation and case management.
• Tertiary qualifications in Psychology (provisional acceptable) or Rehabilitation Counselling; related fields such as OT, PT, Exercise Physiology, Social Work or Nursing are also considered.
• Strong clinical reasoning and ability to work autonomously.
• Passion for helping people rehabilitate and ability to engage multidisciplinary teams.
