Rehabilitation Consultant - Occupational Therapist

About the role

IPAR, a national occupational rehabilitation provider within the MedHealth network, is seeking Occupational Therapists to join its team in Tamworth, NSW. As a Rehabilitation Consultant you will deliver occupational rehabilitation services to clients with physical and psychological conditions, helping them achieve sustainable return-to-health and return-to-work outcomes. The role suits new graduates and early-career professionals, offering a structured, hands-on learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a manageable caseload with support from Rehabilitation Assistants
• Deliver occupational rehabilitation services across schemes such as Workers Compensation, CTP, Life Insurance, Comcare, Department of Veterans' Affairs and employer-funded programs
• Improve return-to-work outcomes and partner with employers and employees on injury prevention and workplace education programs
• Collaborate with injured workers, employers, insurers and healthcare professionals
• Carry out clinical and vocational assessments: initial assessments, workplace assessments, functional capacity assessments, Activity Daily Assessments (ADL) and vocational assessments
• Identify barriers and design practical solutions to support recovery and return to work

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
• General registration with AHPRA
• Previous experience in occupational rehabilitation is desirable but not essential
• Current NSW driver's licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
