Rehabilitation Consultant (ADF)

About the role

Acumen Health is recruiting an ADF Rehabilitation Consultant in Richmond, NSW, to support ADF personnel who have sustained a physical and/or psychological injury. The role applies clinical reasoning within a multidisciplinary team, following a holistic approach from rehab to healing. It is a full-time position with set working hours, no overtime and no work outside those hours.

Key responsibilities

• Apply clinical reasoning to support injured ADF personnel
• Develop, implement and monitor occupational rehabilitation plans
• Work with the injured person, medical specialists, other treatment providers and allied health professionals
• Carry out assessments such as worksite, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments
• Focus on service-delivery KPIs rather than billable hours, with a person-centred approach and goal setting

Required profile

• Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC or AASW)
• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy or Social Work
• At least one year of clinical work experience, with professional registration appropriate to the qualification
• Australian citizenship
• Occupational rehabilitation experience is highly regarded
