ADF Rehabilitation Consultant

About the role

Acumen Health is recruiting an ADF Rehabilitation Consultant to join a national team delivering occupational rehabilitation for ADF personnel who have sustained a physical and/or psychological injury. The role is based at RAAF Base Richmond, with a holistic, multidisciplinary approach and KPIs based on service delivery outcomes rather than billable hours.

Key responsibilities

• Support injured ADF personnel using clinical reasoning, within a multidisciplinary team, from rehab to healing
• Develop, implement and monitor occupational rehabilitation plans
• Work with the injured employee, medical specialists, other treatment providers and allied health professionals
• Carry out assessments such as worksite, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments
• Focus on person-centred care and goal setting

Required profile

• Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC or AASW)
• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy or Social Work
• At least one year of clinical work experience, with professional registration appropriate to the qualification
• Australian citizenship
• Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams
