Registered Psychologist - Injury Rehabilitation and Recovery

About the role

PeopleSense by Altius, a subsidiary of Altius providing psychological services since 1998, is seeking a full-time Registered Psychologist to support clients recovering from workplace and motor vehicle-related injuries. The role is on-site in Subiaco and is structured and outcomes-focused, helping clients regain independence and improve functioning.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions for trauma, adjustment difficulties, chronic pain and work-related stress
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, including biopsychosocial formulation and risk assessment
• Develop goal-oriented treatment plans focused on functional and vocational outcomes
• Prepare clear reports supporting recovery planning and stakeholder decisions
• Collaborate with GPs, rehabilitation providers, employers and insurers
• Take part in case conferences and return-to-work planning
• Integrate practical goals such as return to work, daily functioning and confidence rebuilding
• Alongside scheme work, provide EAP counselling and wellbeing services as a secondary component

Required profile

• AHPRA General Registration with no conditions or reprimands
• Experience in workers' compensation, injury management or rehabilitation, or a strong interest in developing expertise
• Full Australian working rights and ability to obtain a National Police Check
• Current driver's licence

Required skills

• Strong assessment, treatment planning and report writing skills
• Ability to build effective relationships with insurers, GPs and rehabilitation providers
