Registered Psychiatric Nurse - Inpatient Mental Health

About the role

Nolan House, part of Albury Wodonga Health, is seeking a Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join its inpatient mental health team. The role is a fixed-term, full-time position based at the Nolan House Inpatient Unit, Albury Base Hospital, working alongside experienced professionals who deliver trauma-informed, person-centred care focused on recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health and physical assessments
• Monitor responses to psychotropic medications and other therapeutic interventions
• Engage therapeutically with consumers and provide psychoeducation to consumers and their families
• Help maintain a safe, least restrictive and trauma-informed environment
• Deliver nursing care aligned with best practice and organisational policies
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold clinical governance standards

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Previous experience in mental health nursing
• Postgraduate Diploma or Master's in Mental Health Nursing (highly desirable but not essential)

Fixed-term full-time contracts ending in July 2027 and September 2027. Salary and terms follow the relevant state EBA or Award. Pre-employment checks, including criminal record and working with children checks, are required, and all healthcare workers must maintain required vaccinations.
