Registered Nurse – West Coast District Hospital

About the role

The Department of Health is hiring Registered Nurses to join the West Coast District Hospital team. You will deliver safe, high‑quality nursing care across sub‑acute, palliative, emergency and aged‑care settings, working closely with patients, families and multidisciplinary professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinically appropriate nursing care in a 9‑bed sub‑acute unit, a dedicated palliative suite, and an Emergency First Response Unit.
• Support the 16‑bed aged‑care residential facility and coordinate with visiting services such as radiology, physiotherapy and podiatry.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with health‑service standards.
• Participate in shift work, covering up to 76 hours per fortnight, with flexible full‑time or part‑time arrangements.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
• Current Working with Vulnerable People registration.
• Ability to meet the essential selection criteria outlined in the Statement of Duties.

Required skills

• Registered Nurse qualification.
